As a harpist, singer, and composer/arranger, Liza offers a unique curriculum for harpists and other musicians. She teaches Classical as well as World Music including Celtic and Eastern European. Her area of expertise is in music from Latin America including Venezuela, Colombia, Paraguay, Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, and Cuba. She gives lessons on the Celtic Lever Harp and Venezuelan Arpa Llanera in addition to the Pedal Harp. Liza includes Jazz harmony, repertoire, and improvisation in her lessons, finding unique ways to adapt this complex music for the harp. She also emphasizes arranging and composition and encourages students to grow in these areas as well as technical proficiency. She believes strongly in developing complete musicians with their own unique voices!
Liza is based in Los Angeles but also teaches in the San Francisco Bay Area. In addition, she teaches zoom and skype lessons, reaching students across the globe.
